Government Approves Rs 3,630 Crore High-Speed Road Corridor Linking Delhi–Mumbai Expressway To Jewar International Airport
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the revised capital cost of Rs 3,630.77 crore for a major road project designed to provide seamless connectivity to Noida International Airport, one of India’s largest upcoming aviation hubs.
The 31.42 km greenfield corridor will connect the airport with the Delhi-Faridabad-Ballabhgarh-Sohna spur of the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway, offering faster access from South Delhi as well as the rapidly expanding cities of Faridabad and Gurugram.
The project will be developed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode model across parts of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. The corridor is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening logistics efficiency across the National Capital Region.
The new highway will intersect with several key transport networks, including the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, the Yamuna Expressway and the Dedicated Freight Corridor, creating a multimodal connectivity hub that integrates road and freight infrastructure.
A significant portion of the route, around 11 km, will be constructed as an elevated highway.
This segment forms an important part of the greenfield link between the DND-Ballabhgarh Bypass and the airport, ensuring smoother traffic flow in an area expected to witness high-density urban expansion.
Authorities say the elevated structure is intended not only to ease congestion but also to support the broader urban transformation planned under the Faridabad Master Plan 2031.
The additional cost of the elevated section is estimated at Rs 689.24 crore, with the Haryana government agreeing to contribute Rs 450 crore towards the expense.
