The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced a marginal increase in the FASTag Annual Pass fee, revising it from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,075 for the financial year 2026–27.

The increased fee will be applicable from 1 April 2026, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said in a statement on Sunday (15 March).

The Rs 75 increase amounts to a 2.5 per cent hike over the current rate.

The ministry added that the revision in the fee has been carried out in accordance with the provisions of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008.

The updated fee will apply to all eligible non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag seeking to avail the Annual Pass facility at about 1,150 fee plazas on National Highways and National Expressways.

The Annual Pass, launched on 15 August 2025, allows private vehicle owners to make a single upfront payment covering either one year or 200 toll plaza crossings, whichever comes first, doing away with the need for frequent FASTag recharges.

Since its launch, the scheme has attracted over 56 lakh users, reflecting strong uptake among highway commuters.

Activation of the pass happens within two hours of payment, directly on the FASTag already linked to the vehicle.

Users can make the payment through the Rajmarg Yatra App or the NHAI website.
